1 – BOILER CAP

The boiler cap was initially metal and tightened outside the boiler.
He suffered a substantial change in the first 70 years by changing  screwing from external to internal boiler, with thread made of brass.
At the end of 90 years was replaced filleting brass with cheaper plastic.
Too bad that with the excessive heat can melt the screw with leaking water and possible damage to resistance.
